Food to avoid for our 4 legged friends!

Here is a list of foods that are dangerous to our canine friends! Learning to feed your dog naturally is pretty simple but education is a must if your going to make the switch!
Adding fresh fruits and veggies and raw meats are a great way to start your dog on an all natural healthy diet, but avoiding these foods is a must.
  • Onions ~ Can cause an upset stomach and other problems.
  • Garlic ~ (In large amounts) Can Can cause stomach irritation.
  • Avocado ~ Can cause stomach irritation.
  • Grapes ~ Can cause kidney failure.
  • Raisins ~ Can cause kidney failure.
  • Macadamia nuts ~ Can cause stomach upset, weakness and temporary paralysis.
  • Chocolate ~ Can cause vomiting, diarrhea, heart palpitations, tremors, seizures and death. (chocolate contains caffeine like compounds).
  • Artificial sweeteners ~  Can cause a dog to go into a hyperglycemic state and cause coma or death.
When you are first starting out on your new venture of feeding your dog naturally it is best to add new ingredients one at a time and make sure your dog can tolerate them. Feeding a all natural dry kibble is great, but add a daily dose of your own blend of brown rice mixed with carrots, peas and some raw meats. Adding fatty acids, like omega-3s is very healthy. A good source of omegas comes from flax seed oils.

As you gain knowledge you can feed your dog the way you want and feed him solely from scratch. Dogs of all breeds can live longer and healthier from a healthy diet rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and fatty acids.
The benefits are tremendous!
