Burrrrrrr......... and what a time to have a GAS LEAK!!

Eating right when your away from home can be a bit of a chore especially at Christmas!

Well Oklahoma hasn't seen weather like this since 1988, and boy do I remember that! I guess we are all under this big freeze? Its was 3 days till Christmas and I've been smelling natural gas coming out from under our house! I have noticed it for several weeks now, but its getting stronger by the day! SO today I will call the gas company and see if they can come fix it. WRONG thing to do, they pulled my meter and said you need to fix it and when its done call us and we'll put it back! Okay its 20 degrees outside and the wind is blowing at a steady 40 miles an hour and we have an ICE storm moving in tonight.

So needless to say we didn't spend Christmas at the house this year. Off me and the dogs went, I left the cats behind to fin for themselves! And they did! We showed up at my dear Sister's house. She was glad to have us, but you know how that is........

I went shopping and filled her fridge with the weird stuff I eat. She tried to be accommodating but I could tell it wasn't they way they did things. We decided to cook Christmas dinner together, my Sis doesn't usually cook much, but she will cook holiday dinners! She tries so hard to be understanding and buy everything she can all natural, but I noticed one thing about her, she is really sold on CONVENIENCE. That is really one of the biggest stumbling blocks to all natural raw food diet changes. PRE~PACKAGED food has a price! And its not just out of your pocket book! I realized this when we are on the phone, both at two different stores shopping. she said "I'll pick up the Stove Top Stuffing, the Ocean Spray Cranberry and the Canned Yams" Well have you ever looked at the ingredients to this stuff? Its full of chemicals to preserve it. I was shocked she wanted to use this for a Christmas dinner. I said "Oh NO"  "I'll get the stuffing, and I'll make cranberry from scratch and I'll buy the sweet potatoes" So I did and we had a wonderful Christmas dinner that I could eat too. My Sister knows no different and she is stuck on quick and easy, just like a million other people in this world.

Any change you make greatly helps your body, If you can just start somewhere, I didn't do it over night! A good rule of thumb is you should eat at least 70% of your diet RAW WHOLE FOODS and work on eating 100% NATURAL. No chemicals or preservatives. Read your labels. If you go out to eat, choose places that look to make their food themselves, not fast food chains that get their food out of a pre-packaged bag.

And if you can try to eat at least 2 of your meals a day healthy with fresh veggies, raw if you can! Then one of them can be a cooked meal, but still healthy with a good portion of veggies! I'm not really a vegan but I really do not eat very much meat. I eat some salmon every once in a while and a small amount of chicken even less!
I get my protein from raw almonds and walnuts, and legumes (beans) I love sprouted anything too!
Our bodies do not need as much proteins as we give them. Protein from meat takes a lot of energy to digest. If you are already plagued by disease then you need to conserve energy to devote to healing. That really works! The WORST thing you can do to your body, is eat a big piece of RED MEAT late at night. Our bodies do the most work on healing while we sleep, so if your body is working all night on digesting, you won't even be rested let alone get any healing done! I try to eat my proteins earlier in the day so I can get ehm digested before bed.
All this was not easy for me, I read other peoples stories on eating right and how it should be done and inside I knew it was right, but believe me I loved a good thick Rib Eye. I have had about 6 ounces of a good steak one time in the last 16 months. We were invited to my mother-laws to eat dinner and I just couldn't help myself! Lol!!!
That doesn't hurt but don't eat it weekly or even monthly. If you can't stop cold turkey, tapper your self back! Be aware of everything you put in your mouth.

Happy New Year to Everyone.......
More next year...............

Here Comes ABBY! Pets and Your Health?

Another great ALL NATURAL health remedy
DOGS, CATS, HORSES
In any good cancer treatment, stress should be avoided, but sometimes that is really hard to avoid.

We have always had Boxers as our choice of dogs, and they do not have good health genes! It all Started with Yohann and Anna................
My first Boxer, I bought in Italy. Anna was her name, she was a fat healthy pup! Then I had to have another, if your going to raise one pup why not two? So along came Yohann Von Esiel, from Germany! I let them have one litter of puppies for my three kids. WOW! Anna had 11 pups and two of them were born as twins in the same sack, with, might I add CLEFT PALLETS! We had reconstructive surgery done on those two and kept them! That was the beginning of Ralph and Madeline. I had four Boxers and three kids all romping through the house, and what a great place that was to be.
Unfortunately Ralph's kidneys quit him, he died at 2 years old. Maddie lived on to be nines years old and died also of kidney failure. Maddie's death was as hard as any family members can be. She was my constant. I was diagnosed with my cancer 1 year after she died! I could feel the lack of constant hemoglobin raising! A pet is so important to the human body. You get something different from their love than you do from your family or spouse. I really believe it is important for health to hug or just communicate to a pet.

Anna passed at ten years old of a stoke and Yohann as to date is still kicking, he is thirteen years old and in fairly good health, except for seizures, the Vets say it is epilepsy, which its NOT. He has hypoglycemia, I feed him honey three times a day and several small meals and he is fine. They wanted him on premedone $70.00 a month, tried it and it didn't work. Not only do you have ot be your own advocate, you need to be your pets too!

Yohann
I decided to move on a get another Boxer, so along came Bethany. I found her at the Red Dirt Boxer Rescue Center In OKC. She was 5 months old and in horrible shape. She had been in a crate all her life and  her body was covered in raw sores from demodex mange. I took her in, we bonded instantly. I mean really bonded. We went though torture together trying to relieve her mange, we went through months of dips and chemicals. That is what the shelter wanted and the Vets!  Bethany's immune system was so compromised that she could not produce T-3 Cells to fight of the everyday mites. I researched like crazy again, just as I did with my cancer. I started her on Cellular Forte max and tons of herb supplements, along with a raw food diet. She was getting better all on her own. Her coat was growing back!

Bethany cooling off in the MUD!!
Her supplements and food were expensive and every time I would cut back she would break out again. Proof that it was really working. Poor Bethany had such a bad start in life. She was now almost two and really full of spunk! But I never knew she had a bad heart, the Vets never told me she had a heart murmur, a real bad one. Well sure enough one day she fainted, I thought it was s seizure. It was her heart stopping, she started congestive heart failure and died in my arms 9 days later. If I had known about her heart I could have put her on an herbal heart supplement. It really tore me up, in fact I am crying all over again tonight!
I wondered if all this grief is detrimental on my health? I am not sure but I know all the love you had with them far out weighs any damage.

My dear Sis went through the whole ordeal with me and she could see how bad I was taking it, so she drove me to OKC to breeder and bought me ABBY, she was 10 weeks old and as pretty as could be! I resisted until I saw her. She is as precious as one can be. When she is in my arms I can feel the heeling!
If you can surround yourself with pets! If you can't have one of your own, give someone's pet a hug. Hold them tight and feel the transfer. It really works! I love to hug my horses and cats too! Sometimes you can feel the same thing just from a connection, like you communicate without speaking!

Pets are wonderful for good health, they raise your hemoglobin's!

Cold Oklahoma Winter and Eating Right

I planted a garden last spring (09) but I had to share it with everyone at the Ranch, several years back we made a community garden. I love the idea, until I went South on everyone! Since Aug 08 when I was diagnosed with cancer, I decided to do an organic garden, I guess we weren't all on the same page. Here came the Round Up and 7 Dust! So........I abandoned the project! We don't have a farmers market, we live in a real rural RED NECK community, where everyone eats at the corner greasy cafe or the new SONIC DRIVE THRU! and we buy our vegetables at Wal Mart, or should I say potatoes. My community isn't real big on organic anything let alone vegetables. Our soil is killer great, it grows anything and it grows it BIG! watermelons get huge and pumpkins well they are unbelievable! I have only seen a few of those around here, nobody cares about growing anything.

I have been stuck this winter, shopping at Wal Mart just like the  rest of them. Its funny how Wal Mart knows what to ship where, we get just the basics, nothing gourmet! We are lucky to have bok choy but we have a big abundance of iceberg lettuce and Roma tomatoes! So variety for a veggie eater is nil. When I was in Scottsdale Az, we went to Whole Foods! Has anyone been to Whole Foods? OMG!! I would die to have that store in my town. Shopping for a raw food diet and a all natural diet is not easy, reading labels is mandatory. I have found a lot more than I ever dreamed I would at Wally World! Even their bakery is starting to stalk all natural sourdough bread. I buy that for my boys for their garlic bread. I have some occasionally :)

Well come this spring I am claiming my own ORGANIC garden. Not only is it better for you to eat from your own garden, you will save money too. I plan to plant, tomatoes of course, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, melons, and herbs. Lots of herbs! Rosemary grows great here in Oklahoma, even though my Mother has pasted on, in her garden the Rosemary bushes are over my head. An herb garden is essential for any cancer cure or preventive diet. Fresh basil, garlic, rosemary, oregano, thyme, lemon grass, lavender and sage are a few great ones to have. All the mint families are great in a container too. I did grow a few herbs in a sacred spot last year, away from poison!

The ground is frozen and the new year is on its way............

16 Months IN on the Journey to be Cancer FREE Naturally!

Well Its December, that makes it 16 months since I was told I have one year to live if I DON'T do surgery and take treatment! OU Medical Center called me daily telling me if I don't make arrangements with a "TEAM OF SPECIALIST" I was going to DIE! They were ever so rude too. When I tried to explain to them I was going to seek alternative medicine, the Doctor said "like what? vitamins"? I humored him and said yes! I do use vitamins as part of therapy but come on? Surely that Doctor new of some of the wonderful protocols out there. Well out of there I was, I don't need them, but will have to admit, when I made this decision I was a bit scared to abandon conventional medicine, but I just kept think of ALL my family an what they all went through! That makes it a lot easier.

Well, to get back to my journey, somewhere last summer, I think in June, we had to go to Arizona to pick up a horse. I had heard about a really fancy state of the art Holistic Center, Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale. I wanted so badly to visit it and just see if what I was doing and my OLD Doc was doing, was really helping me. So.........I made an appointment and I went. Just my consultation, was $500.00. Ya, they really had it going on but, I was charged $500.00 to be told I needed further testing and that would cost $5000.00. They really YOUNG Doctor that helped me, took a little shine to me and gave me some insight. He evaluated MY protocol and diet. I couldn't tell him my OLD Doc's because I really never knew it, but he was sure my Doc was doing what was needed. The young Doc said you are doing almost everything I would put you on, you are doing very well for your own research. He also said "I should take you on for a pro bono, I could be famous" "because your cancer is so RARE, there is nothing I know to help you. I said EXACTLY! But we left and I never seen them again. One thing for sure, if you are going to cure your self naturally, its some what expensive. That is one thing I will disagree on, with most information on the net, going natural, holistic what ever you want to call it, it is EXPENSIVE, because insurance doesn't cover it and DOCTORS are expensive!

Dec 2009 and I feel great, I haven't even been sick with flu or cold in over a year. I guess that is from all the immune boosting! If I think back to how I felt one year ago today, it is like night and day!

Well with the last 4 post I hope I have everyone up to date on my journey, now that I really see the difference I am going to keep this blog up to date on my progress! I wish I had done this sooner.

Okay We Keep Hearing About Juicing!

We hear it all the time now, how juicing is so amazing.

Well it really is! It is everything they say it is and more.
Jack la Lane
knew the benefits and we all pretty much just ignored him. Thank goodness it wasn't too late for me to learn the benefit of juicing. What better time than in your 40's to start. When your in your teens and twenties and even thirties you don't think about slowing down, but 40's well everything starts to change. Homemade juice extracted from fresh veggies and fruits is truly nectar of the Gods! It is so full of antioxidants, phyto-nutrients, enzymes and more than we will ever know. When we poor this into our bodies, its like pure octane!

Well I started my juice regime daily, along with some really great RAW FOOD meals. My cancer was really going into shock and I could feel it. When cancer cells start to die off, you can become toxic. I had flu like symptoms and pure exhaustion! I wasn't on a full fledged crazy cancer diet, but it was enough to make me feel the die off. It was funny though, I didn't mind how I felt. It actually felt good.

Things I eat almost daily......

Cottage cheese and Barleans flaxseed oil blended
mixed with pineapple and berries and organic granola

Raw almonds
Apples

Salad, raw foods, big salads!
with olive oil and unfiltered apple cider vinegar

In the evening sometimes I saute onions, mushrooms and other veggies (broccoli etc)
with some brown rice
I use all natural Amos soy sauce

Cooked Asparagus blended
Barleans green powder
Fresh juice
Fresh homemade lemon aide/lime aide
with stevia (pure extract)
Lots of water
Green tea

I have just started to really eat more blueberries on a daily basis too!

I tried to eat apricot seeds but I really had too much die off from them,
so I just eat my apple seeds instead!

Supplements I take daily

MSM
Coral Calcium
Vita C
C Q 10
Vita E
Zinc
Adaptagen Tabs (Adrenal support)
Hubichinon Tabs ( Immune support)
Muco Stop (enzymes)
Multi Vita

These are what I take pretty regular, but I add strange things here and there! Lol! I take garlic tablets off and on and a few other things.

Well as the months went on my die off became less and less and the tumors I had in my leg were finally shrinking, but the one behind my eye still stayed the same. The more I researched the more I realized my type of cancer has NO documented cases of success with holistic treatments. There is not one shred of testimonies on the net! I could find them for every other type of cancer but mine! That is very discouraging. UNTIL, one day I had a man call me who wanted to buy a horse for his Son. They came over to see a horse. The little boy was trying her out (roping) and we were working the cattle. I knew this man but not well, he said "I heard you were diagnosed with cancer". "YEP" I said. He said "well I was too, prostate cancer, but I decided not to do surgery and chemo". "Instead I take 4 ounces a day of ASPARAGUS blended in the blender" " I also eat whole raw foods" "I have been cancer free for 9 months" I was so shocked, like God just sent them there to tell me that! They did buy the horse however! Well anyway I raced home to GOOGLE to see what I could find on asparagus! Most what I read was how good it was for prostate cancer, but nothing on my cancer (sinus). I told my OLD Doc the next day and he said "let me research my books". He called me in a whirl, he found a document of asparagus curing a tumor behind someones eye. He copied the text and handed to me! I was so excited to see something with hope.

Well I have been on the asparagus for several months, not only is sooooo gooood! but I contribute a lot of my success to it.

I am really starting to realize all these great things I eat and supplements I take ALL CONTRIBUTE to my good health, the only reason I have so much trouble finding testimonies of success on my type of cancer is only because it is RARE!

Now what I started.............

Finding some help
and being my own ADVOCATE!

I read somewhere if you were going to use a holistic Dr. you should look for someone older, who really had some experience behind him/her. Well in my rural area and limited funds, the options weren't plentiful. Believe it or not with those odds against me I found the neatest holistic care center with an older than "older" Doctor. In fact he had retired and by force of customer demand had to re-open his practice. New customers were by referral only so I called him up without one and told him my story and begged! He reluctantly took me in! I was a bit skeptical, as he is hard of hearing and seems to be a little too "OLD". But its true, his knowledge cannot be challenged.

My first visit, he sat me down and said to my Husband and I "I Don't Cure Cancer" "If it happens to be cured while you are under my care, well that will be a plus for you" I was a bit skeptical, I wanted to hear, "I can fix you right up"!

Well holistic medicine doesn't work like conventional medicine. I was learning this slowly. It took a long time for my body to get in this condition and a reverse was going to take a while. One great thing about our bodies is they put up with a lot, and respond quickly to natural healing.

Well anyway with the help of this good Doc. I started my treatments. Not only did he have his treatment, I had mine, which he did not like. Plastered all over his office were little signs stating just that! "your success would depend on who was the Doctor" etc. Well I am a bit hard headed and go by feelings and felt like I needed more than what he had to offer. So I brought in my own protocol.

Diet to me is a huge factor to everything that ails us. He didn't disagree but he didn't think diet could cure me. Well I don't either! I think diet is a part of your healing journey or your prevention. I stumbled on a website that sold nutritional products, it was a compelling site. It had a page that said contact us, so I did and told the man about my problem. He had advice, it was sincere and not just trying to sell his products. He told me about the Budwig Diet, Joanna Budwig a German physicist won 7 Nobel Prizes for her work. I liked what I heard so I implemented it. Some of her protocols I didn't care for and didn't use, but I love the flaxseed oil/cottage cheese mix. When mixed it oxygenates and forces oxygen through out your body and CANCER DOESN'T LIKE OXYGEN!

So now in my first few months of diagnosis, I was slowly making changes to my diet. I learned the importance of being alkaline, I was horribly acidic. "CANCER DOESN'T LIKE ALKALINE ENVIRONMENT Eating foods off the akaline food chart, (just Google it and you can find one) really helps. I also used special drops to alkaline my water. Lemons work well too or you can use sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). I spent hours in the local health food store marveling over everything and learning as much as I could.

I started to learn the benefits of a raw food diet, eating as many fruits and veggies raw as I could. This I guess is the hardest for me, because I have always loved to COOK! I love food all food so eating my veggies isn't hard. Finding time to prepare them was the problem.

Next post coming soon.............

My journey and reason for my blog! 1st post!

Hello and Welcome to my blog!
If you have CANCER, Don't want CANCER or any other HEALTH ISSUSE
PLEASE follow my blog and read my posts!
I really hope it will change your life like mine has changed!
I hate to put this in here BUT I have to! Please read my disclaimer. It is on my blog page!

I created this blog to share my adventures of a new lifestyle for both me, my family and my pets. I would love to inspire someone to follow this wonderful journey I have found. Good health is something we all need and it so easy to have with the right wisdom!

I stumbled on this adventure just a few years ago! It is working, and after the good results this trial has brought, I have decided to share it. I wish I had this knowledge years ago! I may have been able to save my family...........

My family has a genetic stream of bad health from the big C (Cancer) to autoimmune diseases. Starting with my Grandfather, he died at 52 with a brain tumor. My Uncle (Dad's side) died at 55 with colon cancer. My Uncle (Mom's side) died at 49 with colon cancer. My mother died at 62 with lung cancer, but had MS they thought for several years! By the time they diagnosed her with cancer she died 9 days later with it spread all through out her body. My father died at 70, went for knee surgery and had a million mini strokes, he never woke up! The list goes on with the cancer stuff! We all suffer from allergies too, (weak immune systems to start)!!

Well my story.........
I am 47 years old, I have raised 2 boys and a girl, 2 of them married and have kids, one still at home at 22 yrs old trying to make a living and find his wings! Tuff in today's economy! My husband and I own the Horseshoe Ranch and Arena In Oklahoma, an equine stable. I have never really been over weight, maybe 30 lbs in my worst! I have always considered myself healthy, active and living right! WELL I WAS WRONG!

My evolution of disease is so clear now, but they say hind sight is always 20/20. I'll start at the year 2000, I got a divorce and started out on my own raising 3 almost teenagers. Worked three jobs and didn't have time for eating healthy. Cappuccino's and donuts in the morning, Mc Donalds at lunch and frozen something for dinner! I bought fruit for the kids snacks, but pre-packaged convenience foods were easy! This lifestyle went on for quite some time, I also worked my fingers to the bone, bar-tending at night in heavy smoke filled rooms, up at dawn to work all day and even worked graveyards to stock a grocery store. I had No time to sleep or eat.
Finally I married again and quit a job! Lol! I was able to start back up with my real profession, a riding instructor! My husband is a cowboy, born and raised that way. His Southwest Oklahoma diet is a lot of chicken fries and fried potatoes. No veggies! He loves sweets and fast foods too. So my diet still suffered!

Well my allergies which I have had all my life, to everything, especially horses (and yes I have always had horses and my career......A RIDING INSTRUCTOR)! I was worse than ever. I had gained a lot of weight, for me. I am usually about 120 lbs and I was topping the scale at around 155 lbs. I was tired all the time, 4:00 slump came everyday! I ached everywhere. I took tons of allergy tablets, sinus meds and headache pills. I thought this was from hard work and age creeping up! Maybe even stress of watching my family all die of cancer right in front of me, one right after the other. WELL I WAS WRONG!

In the year 2008 I was very ill on a daily basis. Our business was under a lot of stress we had added a new venture to it "TEAM ROPING EVENTS" very stressful! Lots of mental fast paced work, with lots of customer service issues! I blamed a lot of my sickness on stress. My head was always clogged and cloudy, I made a lot of mistakes, more than usual for a blond. Lol! I could feel something wasn't right inside me. I noticed a small cyst growing quickly on my leg and a few spots that look like age spots. I just figured I was growing barnacles from age! UNTIL, I started to feel pressure behind my left eye, at first I thought it was sinus pressure, so I blew it off and took more meds! UNTIL, I noticed in a producer picture that my left eye looked different (smaller and lower) than my right. The more I stared into the mirror the more I realized my left eye was being pushed out and down! I was becoming officially hideous!

SO.........I made that dreaded appointment to the optometrist, he could clearly see the difference and ordered a MRI, well from there I was diagnosed with two large tumors behind my left eye in my sinus cavity. I already knew it so it wasn't a big shocker to me, I could feel it and see it!

OFF we went to a specialist in OKC, after reading MRIs and CAT scans, they said I was too bad for what they had to offer. "I need a team of specialist" It had grown into bone and I needed a cranial flap surgery, with reconstruction surgery, chemo and radiation! But that was only the good news, bad news was.........this kind of CANCER is tuff to get rid of. Even after all that it will come back and need to be attacked again and again! "PROGNOSIS IS POOR" the Doctor said.
I asked him "what if I do nothing, how long would I last"? He said in my opinion 1 year. He took my husbands hand and said I will pray for you and they did! I am so thankful, because that prayer worked! From that day forward my life had changed, my eyes were opened!

I left the building, and threw up in their bushes! Which I did quite often anyway! My husband wanted to start making arrangements in Houston to set up a team of specialist. I sat quietly thinking of my options. Knowing what my family went through with all the same treatments, was not too appealing. I wasn't really scared, I was excited! I wanted to get home quickly to GOOGLE my best friend! I wanted to research and I did. I researched so much information, it was unreal. I stayed up at night on my computer until 4 and 5 in the morning. I Completely immersed myself into NATURAL REMEDIES. The info was over whelming but I stayed focused and if it didn't feel right I didn't listen!

I had trouble finding specific info on my exact kind of cancer (Inverting Papiloma "SINUS") but the more I read scientific papers on the evolution of cancer, the more I came to understand I wasn't looking for a single bullet to cure my aliment.

SO I was off putting together my protocol all by myself!

Next post will continue my saga...................
Please follow my blog and read often, let it inspire you to become healthy! Its really is so easy.....
